Thank you for your interest in the Planning for a Career in Mitigation Paleontology webinar panel discussion on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm PST. This hourlong webinar will provide guidance to students and recent college graduates who may be interested in pursuing a career in mitigation paleontology. Paleontology students rarely learn details of this industry while in school and may not recognize the possibilities of a career outside of academia or other sectors that employ paleontologists. Paradoxically, a job in mitigation paleontology is often the first professional employment outside of school as students and recent graduates consider pursuing graduate school or employment in academia, museums, government, etc. Attendees will learn from leaders involved with mitigation paleontology about valuable skillsets for employment and will have an opportunity to join the discussion.
Please fill out this form to RSVP to the free event. Preference for full participation will be given to students and recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in mitigation paleontology. However, anyone interested in this topic may view the simultaneous livestream. Links will be sent prior to the event.
